On a Friday night we left from Dallas and spent the night in Shreveport. If you live in the Southern part of the country and are passing through, it's a fun little town to stop and place some bets, but I don't recommend it as a destination. Go to Vegas. Just do it. We hadn’t, so when a patient of mine suggested we try out Sweets and Treats of Lake Charles, we had to oblige! Located at 411 Ryan Street, Sweets and Treats has a variety of homemade desserts from chocolate covered anything to their famous tea cakes. First time customers get a free tea cake to sample!
