From gagarin's point of view. 正しさのどちら側に座るかということ / 村田沙耶香 殺人出産. 2009年 ギンイロノウタ で野間文芸新人賞、2013年 しろいろの街の、その骨の体温の で三島由紀夫賞を受賞している。 そして、主人公を軸として物語が進行していく中で、 正しさ というのは依って立つ社会のその時その場の価値観に過ぎないという作家の声が大きく聞こえるようになったところで、ひとつの殺人が成就し、主人公にとっての 正しさ が決定的になると同時に、物語は幕を閉じることになる。 この価値観の転換は実に鮮やかで、メディアを通じて 人を殺してはいけない 愛する人といっしょになって子どもを育てる という価値観を過度に浴びせられているぼくたちの拠り所である社会が、一皮むけばいかにもろいものであるかということを浮き彫りにする。 また、ストーリーとはあまり関係ない設定ではあるが、 10人産んだら1人殺せる という制度とは別に、従来の殺人もあるにはあって、ただ、そのような殺人を犯した者については、 産刑 という、死ぬまで刑務所でこどもを産み続ける刑に処されるというアイディアにもやられた。
