How to get there. DECOIN was founded in January 1995 as a grass-roots, environmental organization to find ways to conserve the unique biodiversity in the Intag area of northwestern Ecuador. The area is part of two of the world's most important biotic regions, the Tropical Andes, and the Choc—-Darien Western-Ecuadorian Biological Hotpots. The area of influence of our work encompasses several life zones, including tropical rain forests, and cloud forests.

How to get there. Junin's cabins are in the middle of primary forests and are about a 20- minute walk from the town of Junin. There are 6 bedrooms at the Cabins, one of which is a private room. We can hold up to 25 people at a time. There are several bathrooms and we provide hot showers. On the first floor of the Cabins is a large communal dining area where our staff will serve you meals. The price is $35 per person, which includes 3 meals a day and a trail guide.
