I mock you with my monkey pants! NIH Juried Art Show. May 4th, 2009 at 9:31 PM. They chose the piece that's been around the block and back, the purple swirly one in the icon here. I was serious about retiring it after this show, if I can. I might even retire the icon. I'm that sick of it. And no other quilts seem to stand a chance against it. We are not holding our breath. Thursday, April 30, 2009. Touring the Grounds and Towers. There was a lot of rain during those few days by the coast, but one afternoon the sky cleared and I grabbed these photos. Down this path beside the Dorm was land's end. The sun was even more appreciated when it did come. There was a brisk wind, and I was glad I took my black hooded caplet coat, to wrap around me. The waterfront was beautiful, an invitation to walk. The Pavillion and the Chapel were down the road just a bit, but not too far to walk.

Travelogue of an Artistic Mind. Feb 2nd, 2010 at 4:41 PM. This is moving along at a snail's pace. Two steps forward, one step back. I finally figured out how the hell I'm going to keep this puppy closed. And if you can stand the irony, it was garnered from the book I kinda sorta trashed. In my defense, from the artist's gallery NOT the step-by-step projects. All's I can say is thank god for Richard Salley! Did I mention I got my MRI appt? Feb 2nd, 2010 09:04 pm (UTC). I mock you with my monkey pants! Today, I ran a 5K. May 6th, 2009 at 10:43 PM. I kind of had to trick myself into it. I didn't actually know I was running a 5K. I thought I was running 2.8 miles.and then they added a little extra and it turned out to be a 5K. Never in a million years did I think that I would EVER run a 5K.
