Sunday, April 28, 2013. We decided to hire out the mudding and I'm sure glad we did. They started about 2 weeks ago and will hopefully be done today! This entire house project has been taking so long but now (finally) it seems there's an end in sight. I only took a couple pictures of the mudded walls because really, if you've seen one mudded wall you've seen them all. Sunday, December 8, 2013. The boys got to visit with Santa Claus yesterday. Before we left they spent some time filling out their wish lists. Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Back to the farmhouse updates. Once again, there's not much BIG news to report out there. Karsten has been very busy continuing to work on running the heat lines. I didn't realize this took so long but after spending a little time out there, I understand a little more. Almost all of the exterior walls have insulation in them and he has started to put the plastic barrier up as well. We plan to make a built-in closet area on that wall to cover the pipes. Thursday, February 20, 2014. The boys both had assignments from school for Valentine's Day. Jackson was to create a box to hold his valentines and Tristan was to decorate a white paper sack to hold his. This was Dad's assignment one weekend while I was at work. Karsten is definitely more creative than me anyway, so I usually have him do this kind of stuff. Tristan's bag. Karsten wrote his name on it and then Tristan traced it. Thursday, February 20, 2014. Tristan through the years. On his "birth" day. This kid brings so much joy! Can't even begin to explain how much we love him! I can't believe my baby is 4! We celebrated Tristan's birthday last Saturday. We had some family over for supper and conversation, of course followed by presents. Tristan, how old are you today? Getting ready for supper! Sunday, December 15, 2013. We got an early Christmas present last Friday. We closed on our Farmersburg house! Thursday, December 12, 2013. Last weekend we made our annual trek to D&J Pines to cut down our Christmas tree. I really do like having a real tree, just dislike the mess that comes with it. Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Jackson participated in MFL Mar Mac Youth Rec's t-ball this summer. He had a pretty good time. He only made it to 4 games due to rain outs (they don't make up games) and Vacation Bible School. The week he had bible school I let him decide if he wanted to go to VBS or t-ball and he chose VBS (Mommy was proud).
