Sunday, August 9, 2015. Amaretto Fudge with Fresh Cherries. This weekend the Grand Prairie Farmer's Market had a Fudge contest! So I decided to come up with my own fudge recipe to enter :) After a little trial and error I landed on Amaretto Fudge with Fresh Cherries. I pitted the cherries then cut each half into fourths, this way there is a little nibble of cherry in every bite. I created my own double broiler using a stovetop safe glass bowl over a medium pot of boiling water. 2 Tbsp Amaretto Liqueur.

Monday, September 29, 2014. The State Fair of Texas. A couple of days before our trip to the Fair this weekend, I found out they have a daily cooking competition! I have always known about the Arts and Crafts competitions (and have always secretly wanted to enter something! Saturday's competition was Party Foods. After much deliberation I decided to enter Hubby's Grandma's Beef and Cheeseball recipe. OK, I'm ready, send me in! Sitting proudly among the competition. I plan to compete again in the future!

Monday, June 29, 2015. 14 years, 9 years, 8 years ago. On this day 14 years ago, on the phone, Hubby and I decided to be more than just friends. It was the summer before our Jr year of high school, and we had been friends since our freshman year! But we had been flirting with the idea of dating all summer :). 9 years ago today, Hubby took me to the Observation Deck of Reunion Tower and asked me to marry him! A woman walked by and told me I better say yes ;) I did! Today, I have been a wife for 8 years!

Saturday, January 18, 2014. I have started working on reading through the Bible using commentary's to guide my study. I just Finished Exodus using "Shepherd's Guide - Exodus" (Yea, another book for my Empty Shelf. I have never been consistent with my daily Bible reading, but recently I have found that having my Bible out where I see it (on the table in the library), and having a regular time (mornings) has helped me with my habit building. What helps you remember while building good habits?
