Just A Bit Offside: March 2015
http://justabitoffside.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Just A Bit Offside. Where our thinking is that. Just A Bit Offside. Monday, March 16, 2015. You know the story. We've all been there. There's a card show. You want to go. But. You have little time, and even less cash. So you go for it. In and out. Not the burger joint. And not what she said. Hit up a couple of tables with lotsa boxes and even more sale signs. 10 cards for $10. I've been after this card since I found out it existed about a year after it came out in '08. And the immortal Aaron Palushaj.
Just A Bit Offside: April 2015

Just A Bit Offside. Where our thinking is that. Just A Bit Offside. Sunday, April 5, 2015. How to turn a Diamond King into a Pop Up. I don't really know how it came about. but Ryan Cracknell and I just completed a trade that sent a stack of baseball his way, and hockey mine. I sent over 15 minty fresh Donruss Diamond Kings from various years, along with a few 2015 Topps Series 1, in exchange for some OPC inserts from the past few seasons. All sets that I'm working on. Then a couple of mini "V" series.
Just A Bit Offside: A Journey 35 Years In the Making.
http://justabitoffside.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-journey-35-years-in-making.html
Just A Bit Offside. Where our thinking is that. Just A Bit Offside. Saturday, May 30, 2015. A Journey 35 Years In the Making. A long time ago in a frozen land far, far away, a boy undertook a mission that, unbeknownst to him, would take 35 years to complete. But complete it he did. The 1979/80 OPC hockey set was the very first set I bought packs for. I remember them vividly. I remember when my dad would come home and plunk down 8-10 packs that he brought home for me. Man, those were the days. And not the...

Just A Bit Offside. Where our thinking is that. Just A Bit Offside. Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Diving into the deep end. Stuck at home, sick like you wouldn't believe. Sinus congestion like a submarine that's gone too deep. Of course, I still had to get up early, drive across the city, and mow the front and back lawns of my wife's grandmother before it rained today. She just had surgery last Thursday. fighting cancer. For the second time. Yeah, she wins. I'll take the cold. Here's what he had for me. Another...
Just A Bit Offside: your Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2015 inductees.
http://justabitoffside.blogspot.com/2015/06/your-hockey-hall-of-fame-class-of-2015.html
Just A Bit Offside. Where our thinking is that. Just A Bit Offside. Monday, June 29, 2015. Your Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2015 inductees. Today was the announcement of the new inductees into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Or at least, the Hockey Hall of Very Good. The past few years, well, let's say the bar has been lowered to a more pc level. Or maybe little league level. You know, everyone gets a turn and a participation trophy at the end. But enough about that. Let's see who got in. Chris has played 18 y...

Hockey Card Fanatic: September 2012
http://hockeycardfanatic.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
A hockey card collecting blog. and so much more! Sunday, September 30, 2012. EBay Score: Jordan Pearce. My first foray into the Between the Pipes offering from In The Game comes in the form of this 2011 Jordan Pearce Goaligraph. I managed to acquire this nicely signed (on-card) specimen from a seller in Warrenton, Virgina for just $0.99 plus a very reasonable shipping charge. Saturday, September 29, 2012. EBay Score: David Vyborny. Purchased from a seller in northern Wisconsin for just $0.99 plus a f...

Hockey Card Fanatic: February 2013
http://hockeycardfanatic.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
A hockey card collecting blog. and so much more! Monday, February 25, 2013. TTM Success: Keith Yandle. Wow This return shatters my record, by a mile, for the longest transit time. I guess this sort of thing lends credence to that whole "never give up hope" mindset that some people are always shilling. I sent out this 2010-11 Donruss card of Keith just after his two-point night on October 23rd, 2011, when he scored the game-winning goal against Anaheim. Wearing your hat sideways? Like it's still 1994?
Cardboard on Ice: Bob Turner's Fistful of Stanley Cups
http://cardboardonice.blogspot.com/2015/08/bob-turners-fistful-of-stanley-cups.html
Searching, collecting and coveting hockey cards. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Bob Turner's Fistful of Stanley Cups. Bob Turner walked on to the Montreal Canadiens midway through the 1955-56 season just in time to be part of their record-setting run of five straight Stanley Cups from 1956 to 1960. Turner's #40 card from the 1958-59 Parkhurst issue cost me $6:. After his retirement, Turner coached his hometown Regina Pats for 10 years and won the Memorial Cup in 1974. A Cardboard Problem: My newest cardboard obsession
http://www.acardboardproblem.com/2015/04/my-newest-cardboard-obsession.html
April 14, 2015. My newest cardboard obsession. I have a new obsession. I love to collect things. Sometimes not just baseball cards, and I usually have to curtail a collection before it starts so it doesn’t get out of hand. I’ve had to limit them to just the Supernatural ones. The boxes are not small and can add up after just a few purchases. Only going to get the Jeters (though I’ve been lucky to get most as gifts). I refuse to buy one even though I want ALL of them. But these 5x7 oversized sets. I contr...
A Cardboard Problem: #WalletCard
http://www.acardboardproblem.com/p/walletcard.html
Wallet Card was created by Breakdown Cards. Think of it as Flat Stanley only for collectors. You take a card, carry it around in your wallet and then take pictures with it in places you go. I love this idea and am joining in the fun. I'm going to post the photos here of my Wallet card along the way. Let's see where this adventure is going to take us. January 5, 2015. Going home (Topps offices, NYC). Original #walletcard picture . Let's get this going. A photo posted by Susan Lulgjuraj (@yanxchick) on.

Hockey Card Fanatic: 2013 Hockey Card Collecting Goals
http://hockeycardfanatic.blogspot.com/2012/12/2013-hockey-card-collecting-goals.html
A hockey card collecting blog. and so much more! Monday, December 31, 2012. 2013 Hockey Card Collecting Goals. 1 Organize. My collection is in complete disarray. I made some significant progress in 2012 thanks to Zistle and SCF, but there's still an incredible amount of work to do. While most of my trade stock is sorted, cataloged, and properly stored, the cards that comprise my collections are scattered. I need to get that under control - sooner rather than later. Hockey Card Fanatic: Cincinnati Card Show - January 13th
http://hockeycardfanatic.blogspot.com/2013/01/cincinnati-card-show-january-13th.html
A hockey card collecting blog. and so much more! Monday, January 21, 2013. Cincinnati Card Show - January 13th. Sadly, the show was home to only four dealers - and only one of those had any hockey cards to speak of. Even more unfortunate, for me, was that those hockey cards consisted of unopened packs of 1990-91 Upper Deck. Not wanting to leave empty handed, I coughed up $1 for six packs and slunk back to my car and got started on my 60 -minute drive home. February 4, 2013 at 12:39 PM. Im a Rangers fan, ...

Hockey Card Fanatic: October 2012
http://hockeycardfanatic.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
A hockey card collecting blog. and so much more! Thursday, October 4, 2012. EBay Score: Jaroslav Balastik. I got this nice on-card auto for just $0.99 from a seller in in York, PA, that I've bought a couple of cards from in the past. He's definitely got some quality items at very reasonable prices (and low shipping). Despite numbers that weren't too terribly off from the team as a whole, the Jackets sent Balastik packing back to Europe where he remains. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Just A Bit Offside.

Just A Bit Offside. Where our thinking is that. Just A Bit Offside. Sunday, July 30, 2017. Final Parkie Post. for now. So here is the final post of my recent Parkhurst purchase. One Happy Kat
Tuesday, March 29, 2016. I was supposed to upload a video everyday. Or at least say something on my blog. Well. I realized how hard it was to keep up with that during my practicum. For the past month, the time of my disappearance, I was teaching 3rd grade. And my oh my, what an experience! I learned so much from them (and from my mentor teacher) that I think would help me, no matter what grades I end up in. Anyways, outside of my career, I have also been trying to figure out the other parts of my life...

Just A Bit of Inspiration
Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. But before I can have access to new life and that freedom, I need to believe on Him and then follow His will for my life. The way may be tough and hard but the blessings and privileges far out way the trials. So my challenge to you is, are you choosing life? Something to Think About. I know i...
