Bill Hollinrake: Techlearning blog
http://billhollinrake.blogspot.com/2007/10/techlearning-blog.html
Friday, October 26, 2007. I found the Techlearning blog. Was an interesting read. Some of the questions we are asking in this course are similar to the following questions they ask:. How do we promote the knowledge, skills and sense of urgency for 21st Century teaching and learning among all teachers in our schools? I'm often asked if online courses are better than traditional, face-to-face courses. I reply that both methods of delivery have advantages and disadvantages. I clearly state that the ...Each ...

Bill Hollinrake: Interesting Survey Results
http://billhollinrake.blogspot.com/2007/10/interesting-survey-results.html
Sunday, October 21, 2007. I chose to follow the "Online Learning Update" blog. Since I'm battling with myself over my personal computer usage, this survey. Caught my eye. Follow the link to see the Fox News posting of the results of a survey titled " Many People Have Unhealthy Relationships With Computers. I see similarities between the automobile industry and the computer industry. As a "mechanically" challenged individual, I am at the mercy of the automobile mechanic and repair garage. I can tell you'r...

Bill Hollinrake: I'm not a blogger at heart
http://billhollinrake.blogspot.com/2007/10/im-not-blogger-at-heart.html
Saturday, October 20, 2007. I'm not a blogger at heart. I've discovered that blogging is last on my list of things to do. With that said, it was nice to finally re-start my specialist degree program after a 3 year break. Completing my degree is one of the final steps in my recovery. However, I'm finding that adding another "ball" to my "juggling act" of family, work and health activities is difficult. Also, collaboration is possible when the given topic is of interest to others. Preferably, those peo...

Bill Hollinrake: I know why
http://billhollinrake.blogspot.com/2007/10/i-know-why.html
Tuesday, October 23, 2007. I know why I am not a natural blogger. I am not a "conversational" writer. I don't write traditional letters. I've never kept a diary. Previously, the only journal I've ever written was required in a college course. Even the "electronic bulletin boards" of the early Internet days did not appeal to me.
