Several families in our ward joined together to attend a Saturday matinee performance. The play was great and the kids enjoyed sitting with their friends. Sunday, September 21, 2008. The First Blog Post - August 2008. So I've decided to attempt this "blog" thing. I'm new to this so hopefully I can figure it out! Here we go for August. The highlight of August of course was Alyssa's birthday and baptism. She enjoyed a "campout" birthday party with friends. We roasted hotdogs and watched a movie outside (projected up onto the house). Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Jason Mraz Concert – November 20. One of Kaylee's favorite musical artists is Jason Mraz. I surprised her with tickets to the sold out show on November 20. The tickets were general admission so we went and stood in the cold for 2 hours to get up close to the stage. The concert was great and she was so excited to be so close. Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Halloween was rather uneventful at our house this year. Kaylee was at work. Tyson handed out the candy. Emily and Alyssa were both off trick-or-treating with friends. Which left Blake and I with nothing to do. We both worked on projects in the house that night. It was nice to have time to get a few things done! Tyson set up strobe lights and a fog machine on the front porch and even stood out there in a black cape to scare the older trick-or-treaters. Alyssa was a pirate.
