For the past several (i think 5 or 6) years, my christmas duty has been to write the "traditional" family christmas letter. that annual thing that goes out at the end of every year and recounts only family highlihts.sound familiar? Wellthis year, the chrismas letter is available via email in a jpg format. if you're interested, send send me a location and i'll get it to you soon. Someone reminded me recently that i haven't blogged in a while. Countdown to pi day.

Dusty Nugget: time warp.
http://pageturnerlife.blogspot.com/2009/05/time-warp.html
Sometimes I update. Sometimes I don't. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Let me explain, no, no, there is too much, let me sum up. I ended my job last year on May 15th. Then I flew to Oregon, then back to California then drove through Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Idaho to Wyoming. Then June was driving to Utah and back to Wyoming. . Then July was flying to Cody, Wyoming and then back to Jackson. Then flying to Colorado and back. Then September was flying to Florida and North Carolina then back to Wyoming. 3 days in ...

Dusty Nugget: As you wish.
http://pageturnerlife.blogspot.com/2009/03/as-you-wish.html
Sometimes I update. Sometimes I don't. Friday, May 1, 2009. After the Grand Canyon I decided to take another little hike around here. It's a hike up Pinnacle Peak down the other side and back. . Walking around though I am just amazed of how clearly nature screams, YOU SHOULD NOT LIVE HERE! Here's a few that I've encountered. Blister Beetles. They are black with red wings. If you touch them you get a blister. They like to fly and land on your shoulder. Then you are left with the choice of ...Rattle snakes...

Where is that girl now...: Holly Underwater!
http://findingholly.blogspot.com/2011/04/holly-underwater.html
Where is that girl now. Sunday, April 3, 2011. There is a crater called Molokini. That is supposedly the best snorkeling in Hawaii. So I had to go. In preparation of swimming, Douglas braved the waters of the Gym to get better acquainted with the whole H20 thing. In the end, it was pretty great, very clear and lots of fish - in fact, jumping of the boat I think I landed on some! But Molokini was well worth the trip. D says he can breathe underwater. Now I have my doubts. June 22, 2011 at 9:25 AM.

Where is that girl now. Saturday, July 9, 2011. Me, making frosting for a cake: "Hey honey, taste this and tell me what you think.". Douglas: "Hmmmm yum, tastes like egg whites.". D: "Doesn't this have egg whites in it? Guess I won't be opening up that bakery any time soon. How does he even know what egg whites taste like? I wouldnt base your entrepreneurial pursuits off that single comment. ;-). July 15, 2011 at 4:13 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pismo Beach, California.

http://findingholly.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Where is that girl now. Friday, April 6, 2012. Thanks for being loyal friends and family and checking my blog. As you may have noticed, I've either taken a break or I am considering taking my blog offline. The thing is, there are only so many social media websites that I can handle at a time! Come find me and my most current travel pictures of Seattle on Instagram. My username is (you guessed it) findingholly. Cheers to my next adventure - Chicago! Pike's Place Public Market Pig. Pismo Beach, California.

Dusty Nugget: So little time - too many shenanigans.
http://pageturnerlife.blogspot.com/2009/09/so-little-time-too-many-shenanigans.html
Sometimes I update. Sometimes I don't. Saturday, September 5, 2009. So little time - too many shenanigans. This is the summer time. Or a few snapshots of June and July. It's a bit difficult for me to put pictures up on the blog and then I lose my enthusiasm for writing a blog. But here I go anyway -. I'm loving my new job. It allows me long weekends and the ability to pay for things on those long weekends. Ok, now I'm going to write another post about other shenanigans. Thanks for your patience!

And so it goes. When facebook isn't enough. Soi'm spending the next week studying quadratics with this junior high student. He's going to fail. I mean, this young man needs to ace. His next exam (on wednesday) if he's going to make it to the next grade level. But the problem isn't with his math concepts. he's a very. Bright student. his mental computations are incredibly fast and he recognizes patterns easily. This is merely an uninteresting test of the fonts and colors as they appear. Countdown to pi day.
