So I popped up to London last Saturday to meet a few friends for a leisurely walk from Victoria Embankment to Hyde Park. I say a few friends, they numbered the better part of of half a million, and were marching for an alternative. Budget strategy to the that being followed by the government. This recipe was from the BBC, but we usually throw in the odd variation…. 1 tablespoon Olive oil. 1 medium Onion; peeled, finely chopped. 2 Cloves garlic; finely chopped. 115 gram Risotto rice. 700 millilitre Vegetable stock;. About 1 tablespoon Chopped flat leaf parsley. 1 teaspoon Chopped fresh oregano. 1 tablespoon Ripped basil leaves. 25 gram Freshly grated parmesan.

We accept as fact that the national debt must be reduced in order to maintain a good credit rating with the credit agencies who gave excellent credit ratings to the financial institutions just before they collapsed, requiring us to rack up the national debt bailing them out. By no means could I be described as a World traveller – Europe and California are about the extent of it, but travelling makes my top 5 of favourite activities. For me it’s not about the destination, it is the journey itself that matters. A bit like life really. The act of boarding a train, boat or plane still excites me. Point of those anecdotes?
