Wandering, but not Lost

Wandering, but not Lost. Friday, January 26, 2007. This past weekend I was selected to be on the South Midwest Regional Board of Directors for USAT. I'm one of 12 board members. I'm pretty excited to help out with the region. Hopefully, I have some good ideas that can be implemented and I won't get swallowed by the politics. Posted by Justin Wolfe @ 12:44 AM. Wandering, but not Lost: ITB!!!

http://justinwolfe.blogspot.com/2006/10/itb.html

Wandering, but not Lost. Friday, October 27, 2006. The day after Fall Classic was supposed to be the start of our run focus for the winter. I was really looking forward to this. I really, really want to be a faster runner and we had a plan all mapped out to get there. Unfortunately, it seems I pushed pretty on Sunday at Fall Classic and smoked my quads. The result? Posted by Justin Wolfe @ 3:34 PM. End of the season? The fun never stops! Redman - Ever had a dream? OKC Velo Criterium - End of the Series.

Wandering, but not Lost: June 2006

http://justinwolfe.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html

Wandering, but not Lost. Tuesday, June 27, 2006. 1 I think this was my best executed race this year, except perhaps the OKC 1/2 marathon. 3 The bike went really well. I decided to low 90's cadence instead of high 90's. My plan was to keep the HR between 165 and 168, but it ended up averaging closer to 160 with periods below 160. Still my time was about 40 seconds faster than last year, plus approximately 30 seconds due to the extra mount/dismount out the transition area. That's good. Feeling much better ...

Wandering, but not Lost: August 2006

http://justinwolfe.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html

Wandering, but not Lost. Saturday, August 26, 2006. OKC Velo Criterium - End of the Series. Well, on to Plan C then! Greg starts to reach in his back pocket for a little flask of Enervitene. It's like a gel, but more high powered for a short burst of energy. Just the sort of thing a guy like him would need to crush me in a sprint. :( Is that my opportunity? What would Lance do? Am I supposed to attack now or not? I just ride as fast as I can through the corners trying to get a gap. 200 maybe 300 feet.

Wandering, but not Lost: November 2006

http://justinwolfe.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html

Wandering, but not Lost. Friday, November 10, 2006. Well, on further evaluation it appears I don't have ITB issues, but instead I have an inflamed lateral meniscus. Not much I can do except rest, ice, and take Advil. So, with that I swim and bike! Posted by Justin Wolfe @ 8:36 PM. End of the season? The fun never stops! Redman - Ever had a dream? OKC Velo Criterium - End of the Series.

Having it All: So what have we been up to for the last year?

http://kriskarsten.blogspot.com/2012/05/so-what-have-we-been-up-to-for-last.html

Monday, May 7, 2012. So what have we been up to for the last year? Well, it's been over a year since I lasted updated. At the encouragement of my wife, I'm going to start updating again. That seems more feasible now that the summer is coming around and my workload is lightening up a bit. So here's a quick re-cap of what's happened since June of 2011! Alex has been coming along well, too. He has an interest in reading, is starting to get some basic math, and his writing is becoming more legible. A...Loved...

Having it All: February 2009

http://kriskarsten.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Brady's 4th Birthday Party. There was a separate play area for the "littler ones" but Alex wanted nothing to do with that.he went onto the big kids stuff with passion! One of the most fun parts of the day was playing in the bounce pit with Alex. He would stand up and all I had to do was bounce to knock him off balance.he'd fall over and laugh so hard that he could hardly breathe. Then he'd get up, stand still, and wait for me to do it again.over and over! I had only ran a tota...

Having it All: March 2011

http://kriskarsten.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 25, 2011. What goes around comes around. Many people who know me know one of my true loves in life is to eat food. For as long as I can remember, I've always eaten A LOT. (Funny side note: check out this blog. My record for most number of slices of pizza eaten in one setting is 18. Ridiculous, I know. 7 chicken nuggets (age 3). 4 hot dogs (ages 4 and 5). Entire mini pizza (ages 3 and up). 4 waffles; multiple times he's done this (age 6). Half a Red Baron-sized pizza (age 3). Last weekend wa...

Having it All: March 2009

http://kriskarsten.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Brady's first soccer game. Brady wanted to play soccer this year so we signed him up for a league at the YMCA. They had a few practices and clearly his favorite part is running, but we weren't sure how the actual game would go. Last weekend, March 21st, was their first one! Getting on the shin guards, getting game face on. They had a scrimmage at practice the week of the game and Brady did well. The only thing he didn't do very well was kick the ball in the. How awesome is that?

Having it All: September 2009

http://kriskarsten.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 27, 2009. Haven't blogged anything down in a while, so thought I'd offer an update of the family and I over the last few weeks. On Labor Day, Brady and Alex ran a 1K race. This was Brady's second race and he's getting faster each time he's done one. He's really getting the hang of pacing and racing. Didn't get his final time, but he's getting pretty quick. And Alex did his first 1K.ran the whole thing and didn't even walk once! Not bad for a 2 year old! Swimming is on my list this week.

Having it All: Alternate titles: Why do you run? or Why do you do triathlons?

http://kriskarsten.blogspot.com/2011/03/alternate-titles-why-do-you-run-or-why.html

Thursday, March 17, 2011. Alternate titles: Why do you run? Or Why do you do triathlons? I have 3 blog posts to update today. I was going to space them out, but as I let them sit, the ideas soon leave my head and I never get around to it. So let's just jump in with the first one. Before I get into the real 'meat' of the post, I first wanted to share a great video on run mechanics. This is a really great illustration of some key attributes of running efficiently from Jesse Kropelnicki. Or Why do you d.

Having it All: Weekly wrap-up: CLU's graduation, Mother's Day, and track season winding down

http://kriskarsten.blogspot.com/2012/05/weekly-wrap-up-clus-graduation-mothers.html

Friday, May 18, 2012. Weekly wrap-up: CLU's graduation, Mother's Day, and track season winding down. Another week in the books. Nothing earth-shattering to write about, but trying to make posting a weekly habit. Here's a recap in chronological order:. I attended CLU's graduation ceremony last Saturday. It was a really nice event. Perfect weather (imagine that? On Sunday, Melanie wanted to do a 5K run with Brady for Mother's Day along the beach in. After the Mother's Day run, we went to breakfast together...

Having it All: Soccer season has kicked off

http://kriskarsten.blogspot.com/2011/03/soccer-season-has-kicked-off.html

Thursday, March 17, 2011. Soccer season has kicked off. Last weekend was the first game of the spring soccer season for Brady and Alex. It was a great weekend and you can find pics here:. He played really hard, tried to dribble and score goals, didn't goof around, and it was obvious he was having fun! That kid just love running and playing sports. It was a great weekend and I was very proud of both of them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thousand Oaks, CA, United States. View my complete profile.
