The rice crust that I attempted to use this morning, ended up in the garbage. It was flaky, dry, tasteless and falling apart! I am flooded with emotion and so thankful to the wonderful parent's who reach out to others, I am thankful for the educators and doctors who are making a difference for FPIES families. I am writing this entry to the parents who are considering taking their child off of medication without doctor's consent, and I am writing this to myself, because I know that I will think about taking him off again. I don't know if anyone goes through this as often as I do, but I am constantly deciding that Jack does not need his acid reflux medication. I HATE giving him medicine, I don't know why! Ginny's Journey: Another FPIES Mom Blogging. Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Today we started bananas. I allowed G one minuscule bite from my banana as we sat down for breakfast. She wasn't sure at first but ended up thoughtfully mushing it around in her mouth and swallowing without much protest. I'm going to go slow with this one no matter how much G protests or demands more (i.e screams like crazy). Bananas are a more 'iffy' food. So far, so good. Umm I mean millet puffs :).
