Trying to change my LJ profile's location info to Croton on Hudson, and it insists on interpreting it as Cornwall on Hudson. Anyway, that's where I live these days. A nice little apartment.

It probably won't surprise you to hear that my opinion of Glenn Beck is pretty low. It's not that he isn't an effective performer, it's the way his performance is used and associated with "news.". So it was schadenfreude all around when I heard his show The Christmas Sweater. Has not been doing well. A few minutes ago, it hit me: What if that title doesn't refer to an item of clothing? I went and checked, and evidently it does. What a perfect term for what the holiday has become! We're soaking in it!

October 24th, 2012 (10:12 am). I know I keep saying this, but I am really going to make an effort to get back here. I have this great new job. It's queer at best, odd. But the money is fantastic and the benefits are unreal in this economy. I'm an over night Room Service server at The "W" in Austin. Rock Stars and weird rich white people who answer the door nekid. That said, I have been dying to tell the story of something that happened to me only yesterday. Always a bit in a fog of sleep deprivation.
