While there are many good people here who are trying to make an honest living, daily life in Kabul can still provide residents with a harsh reminder of the many people opposed to the intervention that has consumed this country beginning (again) in 2001. Just a few days after my arrival, and the only day that week that I hadn't traveled downtown, there was another attack. And many other things that facilitate living a normal life. Sometimes these groups even fight against each other.
