Monday, September 1, 2014. Thoughts on a Sunday morning - Romans 5:1-11. Therefore, since we have been. Justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him. Access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and. In hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but. In our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love. We have now been. 1 Peace with God.

Friday, June 6, 2014. The timeless theme, Earth and Heaven will pass away. It's not a dream, God will make all things new that day. Gone is the curse from which I stumbled and fell. Evil is banished to eternal hell. No more night, no more pain. No more tears, never crying again. Praises to the great, "I AM". We will walk in the light of the risen Lamb. See all around, now the nations bow down to sing. The only sounds are the praises to Christ, our King. Slowly the names from the book are read. If you wer...

Saturday, April 11, 2015. The Lord's Prayer - Matthew 6:9-13. Why do so many sincere believers repeat over and over again prayers that have been prepared for them to recite? Undoubtedly the greatest number of all make it a practice to recite. The Lord’s Prayer. I think they must have overlooked that He said, "Pray then like this. Matt 6:9), not "recite this prayer.". The reason for this seems obvious; there is no one prayer that fits every occasion. Not only that,. The Lord’s Prayer. And forgive us our d...

As many as seven times? I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you? So what are we to make of this, especially in light of Ephesians 2:8-9? Ezek 36:27; c.f. Jer 31:33). The parable was not intended to be applied to us today....

Saturday, February 22, 2014. Interesting tidbit - 20 (2 Peter 1:20). When I share Bible truth with some of my Greek Orthodox friends, they say, "That's your interpretation, and according to 2 Peter 1:20, we cannot have a private interpretation of the Bible apart from what the church teaches." Is that really what 2 Peter 1:20 means? Peter is not talking about the interpretation that we give the Scriptures; he is talking about the interpretation that the Bible writers gave the Scriptures. Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Divine Communication - philosophy and mysticism. Well, it's certainly nothing new! See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ (Col 2:8). Apparently some believers in Colossae had been taken in by a philosophy that involved regulating their religious life by observing the movements of the stars, which they associated with the powers of the angels.
