http://foggyduo.blogspot.com/2010/02/i-have-been-so-blessed.html
Wednesday, February 17, 2010. I have been so blessed! How many people do you think, have been lucky enough, blessed enough, in their lifetime, to find their soul mate? The person who is, literally, their "other half", the one who fills the HOLE in your heart and makes you WHOLE! And, on top of all that, how many people also have the most wonderful and caring bunch of friends anyone could ask for? I have been that blessed. And I don't doubt that he is somewhere peaceful and joyful, waiting for me, and tha...

Phil-o-sopher: Goodbye, my love. I will always love you.
http://foggyduo.blogspot.com/2010/02/goodbye-my-love-i-will-always-love-you.html
Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Goodbye, my love. I will always love you. For those who may not yet know, my dearly beloved Husband passed away today. All this came to an end today. I gave them his jacket (the one he wore when we got married), trousers, shoes, shirt, tie, belt, socks. Selected a nice coffin, and urn for his ashes, and they confirmed that the appointment at the crematoria was scheduled for 2pm tomorrow. But I know also, that I will always have him in my heart, and I will never forget him.

Phil-o-sopher: June 2009
http://foggyduo.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2009. Stopped the chemo tablets, for now. We are seeing the oncologist on Wednesday, so let's see what happens then - whether he keeps Husband on these chemo pills, or changes them, or what. We are also seeing the gastro surgeon, as Husband has so much discomfort in the abdominal region even without the trots, that we want to be sure that his stomach and intestines are alright. Till next time, keep him in your thoughts, and stay safe, stay HEALTHY! Links to this post. For both of us.

Phil-o-sopher: Back to hospital... again!
http://foggyduo.blogspot.com/2010/02/back-to-hospital-again.html
Monday, February 01, 2010. Back to hospital. again! Both doctors - the pain management specialist, as well as the hospice doctor - have been rather concerned at the rapid increase in pain levels experienced by Husband and, of course, the concurrent need for increase of pain medication. Mind you, I think they are also a little surprised at how mobile and 'compos mentis' Husband is, especially considering the high dosages of morphine and fentanyl he is on! So, what does this mean? Once we have Husband sett...

Phil-o-sopher: October 2009
http://foggyduo.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 30, 2009. Chemo #14, done and dusted. And we still have the same conundrum - all factors tested show that Husband is perfectly healthy. but the CEA has gone UP again, from 338 (2 weeks ago), to 580 now. Yes, it still worries us, but as long as the "disease weight" in the body (lovely turn of phrase there! Is so light, at least according to the oncologists, then he is still doing well, and everything is stable. Till next time, stay safe, stay HEALTHY! Links to this post. Thanks to Husband'...

http://foggyduo.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 29, 2009. The pain is SO bad! Talk about pain, pain, and MORE pain. The new drug that Husband is taking causes, as one of its side effects, BACK PAIN (reported in 16% of patients receiving Erbitux with irinotecan - which is the combination that Husband is being given). So, can you imagine that? ON TOP OF the existing lower back pain that he is already suffering from? Till next time, stay safe, stay HEALTHY! Links to this post. Thursday, September 24, 2009. One week after Chemo #11.
