October 20, 2016. Interleave Training is a type of training has been around for decades. You may have heard about it as varied or mixed training. It seems that this training works by interrupting each skill with a different skill and then forcing your long-term memory to then go back and access the first skill over and over. As you start using interleave training and you start testing, do any testing at the beginning of the practice session. This allows you to track progress from session to session.
