The Hershberger Home: Jonah [7 months]
http://benjesshersh.blogspot.com/2015/05/jonah-7-months.html
Monday, May 18, 2015. You are 7 months old. I feel as though you are changing so much lately.probably because you are. You started out this past month by mastering rolling. And now, you just started scooting.and you can get around! Andyou just started sitting for an extended period of time before you tip over. You usually take a morning and afternoon nap, and usually a short one in the evening. You sleep from around 9ish-5ish, and then you go back until 7 or 8. So, in my book.you sleep good. You are star...

Sunday, May 31, 2015. Noah [2 1/2ish years]. Noah, you are quickly changing to the next stage of toddler-hood. You are putting words into sentences, making sense of your own version of logic, and just showing us your personality a little more each day. Hence the picture below.we had the sprinkler underneath the trampoline, and it wasn't near the exciting time for you as it was Christian. So you enjoyed your popsicle in true Noah fashion. You march to the beat of your own drum. I'll start with one, "We th...

The Macs » Blog. May 9, 2016. A teacher gift a gift for you. Two years ago, DaySpring. Came out with the Daily Grace Collection. I loved it so much that I decided to use the sugar bowl and creamer set as teacher gifts that year. I bought the $3 succulents from Home Depot, plopped them in and added cute little fabric flags. It was so easy and I thought they turned out so great. I still give these as gifts all the time! I posted a few other teacher gift ideas that year too. You can find those here. Giveawa...

Professional Motherhood...: September 2014
http://professionalmotherhood.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
September 19, 2014. This land is our land. Jake and I are now the proud owners of one full acre of dirt and rocks and trees. And some day we're going to put a house on it. Yesterday we bought a lot in a small subdivision (just 4 lots) that is only a few miles from where we currently live. We won't build for a few years, but we are excited to finally start the process of owning our "dream home.". This land is our land. Jake is standing about where our living room will be. Our view to the northwest.

Professional Motherhood...: Life as a child is pretty good...
http://professionalmotherhood.blogspot.com/2015/07/life-as-child-is-pretty-good.html
July 2, 2015. Life as a child is pretty good. I would never willingly choose to suffer through junior high again. And although high school was fun, I do not miss trying to be cool or hip or whatever it is kids call it these days. I would, however, consider being 2 or 5 again. Back when summers were longer, ignorance was bliss, and the world was still my oyster. My kids have it pretty good, and here are 10 reasons why some days, I would rather be them. Want to go back to that schedule? Can I get an Amen?

July 28, 2014. Yesterday I had the privilege and honor of speaking at my grandpa's funeral. Grandpa was blessed with a long, happy life, and as his life drew to an end he was then blessed with the opportunity to say good-bye to his children before he peacefully passed away. In 2009 our family collected stories and special memories that we had of grandpa, and then read them aloud to him on his 90. Birthday. As we reminisced about the past, patterns began to emerge in our recollections of him. And remember...

Professional Motherhood...: January 2015
http://professionalmotherhood.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
January 26, 2015. Philippians 4:13 was not written for moms. In Philippians 4:13 I am reminded that, "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.". I feel like the apostle Paul did not write this with modern day mothers in mind. I suspect he would have provided additional clarification had he known that some of us (we know who we are) would some day use this verse to try to prove to ourselves that we can do it all, be it all, and still be home in time for dinner. At what point can we acknowledge ...

The Hershberger Home: June 2014
http://benjesshersh.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 23, 2014. The wheat wasn't really very good around here this year. I'm obviously not a farmer.but I'm thinking it was too dry for too long. It was a very warm, windy day.but we were running out of days to take a quick picture before they harvested the last of it. These were the best we got. It's just the idea anyway. I thought I'd better take a picture of the little guy.he's over halfway cooked! Christian's conversations (May/June 2014). I guess he just doesn't give up. Oh, kind of I guess&#...

Wednesday, July 30, 2014. We extended our MN trip by one evening on the way home. We stopped in Minneapolis for the night, got a priceline hotel for $55.which worked out good for what we needed. Christian and Ben went swimming.that was all Christian needed to be claimed as a winner hotel! Prior to getting there, we stopped at Culver's for supper.Noah devoured half of a hamburger and Christian thought his root beer float was something special! Crossing the Mississippi River). Christian colored, looked at ...
