Making the Most of One Last Day. Finally the decision to go surfing has been made, and the guys are ready for a 5:30 AM pick-up. After making them coffee I crawled back into bed. I'm too old to start surfing and its too early to get up - it's vacation! Doesn't take long for Zac to get the hang of it! Dad's not bad for a beginner.

Thursday, December 25, 2014. Merry Christmas from Sunny Costa Rica. And a real surprise, Gummie Bears in her stocking (Dad doesn't like me to have a lot candy). After Breakfast we FaceTime with Richard, Laura and the kids and lastly with Matthew and Mimi who are in the same time zone as we are so probably weren't up for an early morning call. I love FaceTime! Our Christmas Day will be spent by the pool at the resort. A warm, lazy no pressure kind of a day, nearly perfect. And yes, I was there!

Saturday, December 27, 2014. We have developed a morning routine of enjoying coffee on the veranda where we can appreciate the weather and quiet that surrounds us. Zac has become the breakfast chef, a great treat for mom! We lounge and catch up on news, blogging, Facebook, etc. before making a plan for the day. Today's plan is really no plan as we decide to hang out at the pool for the day, maybe a surf lesson for the guys, we'll see. Whole grilled Red Snapper - yum! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Even though we rarely enjoy a White Christmas back in the States, it is hard to conjure up Christmas while in a bathing suit on a beach in 80 degree weather. Sunday, September 29, 2013. There seems to be a pattern developing, a day of rain, a day of sun, a day of rain, and hurray the sun is back! The beaches here are gorgeous, the sand really is pink and provides a lovely contrast to the turquoise waters. At Johnson Bay we discover rocks and grottoes that remind us of the Baths on Virgin Gourda. We agree that you could make a complete vacation of visiting these beautiful beaches.
