Like the title says - just a whole lot of stuff. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. ORA-06508 error calling package in different schema. ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called. Note that PACKAGE A would compile fine, it just wouldn't run. I finally managed to get rid of this error by logging off my PL/SQL session in SCHEMA A and then logging back in. After that, my PACKAGE A call worked fine. When in doubt, reboot! A pretty old-school solution but it was the answer in this case!

I have a VB6 dll that is being used, via COM, in multiple VB6 apps, COM add-ins, and Outlook Forms. It is being used via both late binding. Set o = CreateObject("a.b")] and early binding. Set o = New a.b] techniques. The idea is to replace the VB6 dll with a C# dll that does exactly the same thing, without touching any of the other applications. With an exposed class called.
