Musings from the dad. Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Ivetté and her family met us at the hotel at 10:00, and after niceties all around, we headed to the huge mountain that overlooks Quito. There is a gondola that takes you from the bottom of the mountain (BTW, Quito city sits at about 9100 feet to begin with) to the top, at about 12,700 feet. V.er.y.l.itt.l.e.a.i.r.up.t.he.r.e! I´ll have to add pictures later, as I don´t have access to the computer or have a cable to connect to my camera right now. I hope that Kyle and Cheryl will survive traveling with Lisa and I, as we like to get up and go, go, go Cheryl thinks she´s going to sleep a lot. I don´t think so. And see our humble abode. Musings from the dad. Monday, May 19, 2008. 1/2 Marathon, I'm Tired. There is a real recovery time that is needed to get your body back together, and the older I get, the longer that time seems to be. I am going to go swimming tonight to get going again, and then bike tomorrow, and finally do a short (3-4 mile) run wednesday. Musings from the dad. Sunday, August 17, 2008. A View from an EMPTY NEST. So as empty nesters, after getting Kyle settled at USU, Lisa and I hiked to the wind cave up Logan canyon, and it was absolutely wonderful. It didn't take too long (it's only a 2.6 mile round trip), and we enjoyed it. Here are a couple of pictures from the trip. Can you handle it? That's going to be so weird! You should get a smaller home now, less to keep up with, ya know you are getting OLD! HA HA HA HA! August 18, 2008 at 9:17 PM.
