The art of questioning. Thursday, May 24, 2007. I do, in fact, still exist. So does this blog, though I haven't posted much lately.the essence of any blog, really. I just wanted to say, I think that I am a general agnostic; that often I purposefully live in a place of ignorance so as to be able to answer "I don't know" when asked for my opinion on a controversial subject. The art of questioning. Monday, July 30, 2007. One thing I have noticed about atheists is that they tend to define themselves negatively. In fact, their name is a negative definition; "a" meaning no, "theos" meaning God. (My Greek may not be perfect, but that's the gist of it, anyway.). Why would that be? But when any one group defines themselves negatively, who are they really? Are they a group when they have nothing to oppose? And, with a briliant twist of logic, atheism now no longer exists.

But why is scientific knowledge held up as the highest form of thinking, of knowing, of operating? Why do parents cringe when their children go into the arts and rejoice when they go into science?
