A Pinch of My Life: May 2010
http://januaryjon.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
A Pinch of My Life. Nothing in my hands I bring, Only to the cross I cling. Monday, May 10, 2010. I was stuck designing my circuit for the speaker for almost the past day or so. I wanted to simulate it with SPICE, so I used the free LTspice. Finding the SPICE model for the LM386 power amp wasn't hard, but wiring it up to work took me almost a day. Later, I found my mistake. A Pinch of My Life: November 2009

A Pinch of My Life. Nothing in my hands I bring, Only to the cross I cling. Thursday, November 19, 2009. Making NUS webcast sound better with Logic Pro and another free software. Ever got frustrated over how horrible webcast in NUS can sound? Well, it's 2 days away from the start of the exams, and I'm stuck with webcasting the 2nd half of my econs (which thankfully is not the first exam). It doesn't help that the breeze online lecture for the e-learning week has super low audio quality. Ok, for those of ...

Cooking Up Some Stories. Monday, May 31, 2010. Module Review - 2009/2010 Semester 2 Module Review. Exam result came out this morning so I can write my review about the modules which I have taken during the last semester without having the anxiety of waiting for my result nagging at me. Admittedly, last semester was tough and it taught me many great lessons not only in studies, but also in my life. Without further ado, lets look at my opinions on last semester's modules:. Cooking Up Some Stories. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. End of Internship at IME. This week is the last week of internship. There is pretty much very little to do as all my research findings have been submitted to my supervisor along with a MATLAB numerical simulator which I wrote. While on one hand, internship work has died down a lot, FLOAT activities have picked up pace as Rag Day looms closer. Anyway, the diagram below sort of sums up what I am doing during my internship. My Story: October 2005
http://zhijun.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 17, 2005. Arun and Churia, my classmates are such funny fellas. Almost everyday (days which they come to school) they have riddles to ask us. God only knows where they hear so many of these riddles. Today, they asked:-. 1 Last time, Superman flies with one hand stretched out. Now, he flies with both hands. Stretched out. Why? Because last time he drives manual, so his other hand is used for changing the gear. Now, he uses auto, so his both hands are free to fly. Posted by z jun at 8:00 PM.

Cooking Up Some Stories. Friday, June 11, 2010. Well, intern work is not just about slacking. Sometimes, you get called into action as well and I mean literally called, because your supervisor will give you a ring and you will be rushing down the hallway with your handphone still glued to your ear trying to figure out where he or she is. Oh yes, we would be conducting our own experiment on the validating the phase diagram I have constructed earlier. Hope all goes well * Cross fingers* .

Cooking Up Some Stories. Friday, December 12, 2008. Apart from facial features, the most conspicuous properties that we, human, often exploit to advantage to recognise different people are our voices. Different people have different voices although there are selected few that have exactly matching frequency of sound. The human voice is a product of nature and nurture, shaped both by the power of genetics and influence of the environment. Today, I would like to talk about my voice. View my complete profile.

Thursday, January 14, 2010. Another elective I'm taking is CS2102 which is database management. I was kind of forced to take CS after a sem trying to avoid it. Honestly, I don't exactly know what a database is and hopefully I'll know after I go through this sem then. Posted by z jun at 7:26 PM. Links to this post:. Have you had a kindness shown? Sunday, July 31, 2005. Came across this article when I was reading the Star today. Very funny:- =P. It is the year 2050 and Kuala Lumpur’s traffic jams have finally been beaten by hover-cars that zip around in mid-air on aero-highways . But the old issues of AP Kings, a Santa Claus economy and squeaky national products are still around. Even though the new hover-cars don’t need roads, everybody still has to pay air-tax and air-tolls at 20 sen per air-kilometre in the year 2050. Where’s the Malaysian cont...
