Over fifty years ago, Juneau Youth Services (then called the Juneau Receiving Home) met the needs of runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth. A lot has changed in fifty years, but our committment to youth in crisis hasn't. The Cornerstone Emergency Shelter. Offers safe, short-term housing for up to twelve youth, ages 10 to 19. Some kids just need a place to sleep and a warm meal. Others come to Cornerstone to talk with our understanding staff and to seek mediation help with their parents.
