Friday, April 28, 2006. Our cells lect today was about cell signalling. our lecturer gave us an introduction to the topic, emphasizing the fact that life depends on communication (which included pictures of mobile phones. -.-"). He then showed a slide titled "requirements of a communication system", and on it, were the logos of the four biggest mobile phone operators in uk (why is he pushing the analogy so far? Everyone typed his number in. And he answered "who am i speaking to? Wednesday, April 26, 2006.

Monday, July 31, 2006. I never knew being able to read chinese was an asset - it's not that hard to be a pirate online, but it would be much easier if you could read chinese =). Gotta love the immorality of some chinese websites =D. Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Since flying by air was of comparable price as that of taking a bus down south to spore, i decided to give airasia a shot - i have to admit, the prospects of reaching spore in a fraction of time i used to spend was pretty attractive. Before the plane...

Sunday, February 26, 2006. Haven't apologized to people as much as what i've done today:. I've apologized to a porter from trinity for trespassing on trinity property (long story). I've apologized to my friend, who had a report sent about him by the porter to his senior bursar about letting non-trinity people playing in their badminton courts. I've apologized to my badminton friends who walked from their far-flung colleges enthusiastically to play badminton, only to know that we got kicked out. Now, my d...

Gone with the wind.: March 2007
http://windtothywings.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Gone with the wind. Wednesday, March 28, 2007. Yesterday night, I went with a group of friends to relive our childhood days. We went to watch TMNT, a show which all of us were faithfully glued to at 5.30pm on weekdays. CGI has given 2D turtle-heroes more defined features and more heroic-appearances. And I always thought Warcraft was progress from TMNT. Well, mindless entertainment with a good dose of childhood memories and a guaranteed good ending works wonders. Cowabunga. Friday, March 23, 2007. First, ...

Gone with the wind.: November 2006
http://windtothywings.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Gone with the wind. Monday, November 27, 2006. I climbed a mountain, and the highest one in England at that. Am back from Lake District, an amazingly beautiful place! Then we had a huge turkey dinner and a turkey-eating competition between ben and jiawei which was hilarious and a zongjimima game which was even funnier (don't ask why.) Saw a real fireplace and played jenga with blocks thicker than my wrist! Had a really great weekend, but now have to make up for lost time. 1 world econs essay. Maybe this ...

http://windtothywings.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Gone with the wind. Sunday, February 25, 2007. My home country wants to be everything else, but itself. It wants to be bustling like London, diverse like New York, culturally vibrant like Paris and socially graceful like Japan. How to be uniquely Singapore, except as a jigsaw puzzle made up of pieces which others have developed over hundreds of years? We already have Chinatown, Little India, Katong and Kampong Glam. Do we need Little London, Little NY, Little Paris and Little Japan as well? I remembered ...

Gone with the wind.: January 2007
http://windtothywings.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Gone with the wind. Saturday, January 27, 2007. It snowed on Tuesday night, and it was truly beautiful. It was easy to forget that snow is nothing but frozen rain, until I trudged through puddles of half-melted snow/ice to politics seminar the next morning. I love the scenery, but it will be great if it isn't so cold this week, when I spent most of my nights trudging around Earlsdon and coughing, sneezing and wheezing away. Revised perceptions this week:. 3 My dad has his reasons for hating to move house.

Seeing is believing but not understanding | B O A T
https://trueboat.wordpress.com/2010/09/13/seeing-is-believing-but-not-understanding
This is the online dock of THE BOAT, an art project by Judith Huang. Seeing is believing but not understanding. It’s been nine years since September 11th, 2001. I have never seen the World Trade Center. By the time I got to America, they were gone. I’m leaving New York today, and I don’t know when’s the next time I’ll be back. But I wrote this piece last summer about Ground Zero, and thought it would be appropriate to post it today. I ask you, how many buildings? How many buildings was in Ground Zero?
