I mean to post, but then get busy, then intend to catch up, and get busy again, and then feel overwhelmed by how much there is to catch up on while trying to do what there is to do and then I just don't want to do anything. Does anyone else ever feel that way? I see by my visitor log that people still drop in and check for updates. I can't tell you how touched I am by that. Friday, August 09, 2013. HOW DID LITTLE 'H' COME TO BE CALLED BACON? Mav has been the one to introduce a number of foods to him for the first time, such as pizza, spaghetti, and (shaking my head) beer. (I was only present for the pizza! H kept grabbing for Mav's beer bottle, so when it was just about empty (a few dribbles were left in it) he let him have it. Bacon tipped it up and apparently got a drop or two, just enough to taste, and oddly enough he liked it! August 10, 2013 5:45 PM. And Lucy Makes 6.

Thursday, August 08, 2013. The cats remind me of myself and Mav. One is slim and trim, the other not so much. In fact, the other seriously needs to drop some pounds. Sophie. about 22 pounds. Edited I weighed her and she is actually only 18 pounds. 18 very solid pounds! She feels much heavier! Nora about 10.5 pounds . Sophie has gained 5 pounds since you got her. Holy cow! Saturday, August 24, 2013. The balloons. The big one at the top sang Happy Birthday. The cake. Blackberrys and crumbled bacon on the top. Sister somehow released the singing balloon. It sang to the birds as it floated up, up, and away. Daddy, brother, Great Grandma, Grandma, sister, Mommy, both grandpas,and Aunt Melissa (not in picture) were there.
