Random stuff by me *. Thursday, September 13, 2012. Grandma G. G. Turns 90! We were fortunate to get to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday at the beginning of August. A big family celebration came later in the month in California, but we weren't able to be there. My grandmother's brother also wasn't able to travel to California, so we all met in Jacksonville to have a smaller party. Here, you see the birthday girl with the youngest member of the family. Random stuff by me *. Thursday, January 31, 2013. Bethany's family cake was part of Grandpa's retirement cake. This thing was seriously DELICIOUS, and we had too much of it to necessitate making an additional cake. (Don't worry - I made her cupcakes for her actual party.) Random stuff by me *. Friday, November 1, 2013. Maybe someday, I'll get caught up to this point, but if not, at least Halloween gets mentioned. ;). First up, the annual hot dog/mac and cheese meal. This year, both girls were witches. Bethany had wanted to be a witch last year, but it didn't happen, so we made sure she got her wish this year. I made their skirts and capes, and the rest of the outfit was random stuff we had. Action shot. (Bethany's wig is hilarious.). Here she is, creating her design.

Random stuff by me *. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Sewing. I'm doing it. I took exactly six weeks of "Home Ec" in 8th grade. We did not sew a blessed thing. We "cooked." At home. And brought our dishes to school as homework, because our class met in a kitchenless trailer. Random stuff by me *. Thursday, January 31, 2013. Clara got her first haircut, courtesy of Nana. (She cuts everyone's hair but Lindsey's. She also cuts her own hair - don't ask me how.). It was sad for me, of course, but I was determined not to let her go all the way to mullet. I made that mistake with Bethany, and the photographic evidence is hilarious. Beautiful girl. :).
