Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Two little boys, Steven (5) and Mike (3), spent the spring of 1980 peppering their mother with questions about new babies. They were terribly disappointed when I, their baby sister, was finally brought home. Not only did I cry all the time, according to them, but a puppy would have been more fun. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. New to me blogs. These girls are super cute, fo' sho'! Lullaby Lubbock is two friends blogging about life and kid stuff. Visit them here. And this is cake batter bark. Umm, who thinks of this? I'm pretty sure, Jessica, the author behind How Sweet It Is, is a genius. She actually mixed yellow dry cake batter into white chocolate. Brilliant! As to what to do with the left over cake batter? Someone in the comments suggested mixing it into vanilla yogurt. Again, brilliant!

This weekend we took Benjamin to his first parade of the Mardi Gras season, Krewe of Barkus. My mom watched Mary Elizabeth so that Seth and I both could enjoy the afternoon with Ben. He had a great time! He caught (and was mostly handed) tons of beads and stuffed animals. Enjoying a cookie outside of a bakery in Lakeview. There were lots of really clever costumes, but this one was the funniest.

I chose Big Ben in London because it is a building that has with-held the "Test of Time."
