Silver Rose Sewing: May 2011
http://silverrosesewing.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Ask Me About My Endo. Sunday, May 15, 2011. A Day For Projects. Here's the sewing room window before. I had bought some home decor fabric while it was on sale, and unfortunately didn't buy quite enough. I had quite underestimated how large the window was. In any case, I had to be creative unless I wanted to spend a fortune on the fabric I wanted, and I'm actually very happy with the results. From the Newport Mansion we visited. I love the lighting right now, but I. The next project was a curtain for the ...

Silver Rose Sewing: Soundtrack to Sewing
http://silverrosesewing.blogspot.com/p/soundtrack-to-sewing.html
Ask Me About My Endo. This page highlights music that has inspired me while sewing, or is just really awesome and I have to share. Check them out and enjoy! Photo from Amazon.com. Hanson - Shout It Out. While many people might think of them as bubblegum pop, Hanson's latest album is all about R&B, blues and soul-inspired pop-rock. This album is a fun, upbeat mix that has me singing and dancing during my sewing sessions. Their cover of fictional band Infant Sorrow's Furry Walls. Photo from Amazon.com.

Ask Me About My Endo. Monday, February 28, 2011. Quick Update.I still hate needles. Stay away, needles, or I will have to send Stitch after you! Easy for him to say. He hasn't been struggling to stay employed for a year! A week on Benadryl and I might as well quit my job, since I'll be sleeping through it! Most of the time not including post-injection-allergic-reaction-headaches-and-hot-flashes. And no, I haven't touched my new sewing machine yet. One thing at a time. :). Links to this post. Silver Rose Sewing: November 2010
http://silverrosesewing.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Ask Me About My Endo. Saturday, November 20, 2010. 2nd Craft Fair = Fail. Driven by my impossible idea to not only work 12 hours a day planning/correcting homework/working on report cards/teaching 2nd grade, I decided to do a craft fair and go for my driver's license in the same week. There are not enough hours in the day. *hangs head* The good news? I passed my driving test! I drove myself to work yesterday and everything. Hooray! I did not sew enough to add the huge holiday selection I wanted. Don't yo...

Silver Rose Sewing: April 2011

Ask Me About My Endo. Saturday, April 30, 2011. My Chair Is Finally Here! After a month and a half of waiting, my single sleeper chair finally arrived on Wednesday! It is even more beautiful than I imagined. I am still in love with the color and it just pulls the room together. Finally, a place to sit that isn't a desk chair or a vanity bench. :). Here's how it looks with the photos on the wall. I like the way the blues in the sky pop with the teal of the chair. Here's a picture we took of the Rosecliff&...

Silver Rose Sewing: Response to Dr. Drew's dismissal of Endometriosis and Interstitial Cystitis pain as "garbage bag" diagnoses
http://silverrosesewing.blogspot.com/2014/04/response-to-dr-drews-dismissal-of.html
Ask Me About My Endo. Friday, April 25, 2014. Response to Dr. Drew's dismissal of Endometriosis and Interstitial Cystitis pain as "garbage bag" diagnoses. Before my surgical diagnosis, a psychiatrist told me my pain was psychosomatic (all in my head), and that I should not be given pain relief, but rather, I should come back and start therapy. That is dedicated to support, awareness, and advocacy. Dr Drew dismisses Endometriosis and IC as "garbage bag diseases". Thanks Emily Page for typing this up!

Silver Rose Sewing: Is It Really JUST Pain?
http://silverrosesewing.blogspot.com/2014/04/is-it-really-just-pain.html
Ask Me About My Endo. Monday, April 7, 2014. Is It Really JUST Pain? I'm going to be honest with you: I'm angry. Pain exists to let us know that something isn't right. When I speak with anyone who is having new or worsening pain, it scares me to hear them say that they will just ignore it. Pain is just pain, right? Now, as someone who has dabbled with alternative methods of pain management, like acupuncture, meditation, and yoga, I can tell you that those methods absolutely help me handle. Vomiting, incr...
