But I’ll survive because when they light up the sky it will be perfect. We will watch the fireworks come and go, we will embrace each other in times of darkness, and times of joy; when the sky is illuminated with goodness, and when the sky holds gloom. We will see each other, feel each other, know each other. The kaleidoscope lens has been flipped over; my journey, this things called life is an adventure like no other. It is both the longest, and shortest thing I will ever do. It is fill of paradoxical situations, impossible equations and in the grand scheme of things irrelevant fears. Someone stole my kaleidoscope, flipped it over, turned it around, made it dance in front of my eyes. He handed it back and told me to take a look. I perceived the sights in a fragmented reflection of wholeness. July 27, 2015.

I’m exposed but you’re covering me in black tar that both hides and reveals my soul. I’m grabbing at myself, trying to put myself back on, my me-ness. How did you do this? We’ve walked together on the blood of yesterday. We’ve talked; been vulnerable. I do not know your name yet, and still your being has broken my me, and shown me parts of me I have been hiding.

It is able to withstand some of the harshest conditions as well as the most gentle. It is often unnoticed or unwanted by those that inhabit the same area. It brings nutrients to the soil it grows in, attracting creatures that pollinate once it has blossomed, giving life a chance to be lived.
