For many urban children, even though they might live within 25 miles of it, the ocean is an elusive and mysterious place that they will only visit 1-2 times throughout school. These children, particularly in large cities on the coasts, need opportunities to learn about the ocean in meaningful ways. So that when they do visit the ocean, it is a transformative experience that has the potential to lead to increased motivation for repeated engagements. Why is this a problem?

Through an in-home scavenger hunt that utilizes QR codes to deliver real videos, children 4-8 learn interesting facts about their own KaiPal (a plush stuffed animal sea otter, whale or sea lion) and make connections with the basic life functions that we share with these marine mammals. Και πάλι απ'την αρχή! Δευτέρα, 19 Νοεμβρίου 2012. Και πριν το φθινόπωρο μας αποχαιρετίσει κι αυτό, είπα να προλάβω να γράψω κάτι, έτσι για να καλύψω τουλάχιστον και αυτήν την εποχή του χρόνου! Αν πω ότι έχω έμπνευση σήμερα και είπα να γράψω κάτι συγκεκριμένο θα πω ψέμματα, γιαυτό θα αρχίσω να γράφω και θα το αφήσω όπου με βγάλει.
