It's a perfect little sweet treat that isn't too filling, but full of flavor. They used to be a treat just when I traveled. This fall when I was in San Fran, I hit up Miette, an adorable little bakery that specializes in macarons. I have their cookbook but haven't attempted baking them in my kitchen just yet. The photos below are from Miette and some pre-Christmas Pistache macarons.

Saturday, April 28, 2012. Mac and I are thrilled to welcome Pepper, our doberman puppy, into our lives! We drove up to Missouri Friday afternoon and picked her out. There were ten puppies and four little girls. Mac picked out Pepper because of her great markings and coloring. Our drive home wasn't too eventful. She sat in my lap the whole way and napped. She would cry a little when she woke up, but would then immediately fall back asleep! We stopped halfway to see if she needed to potty, but no sir.

Friday, January 25, 2013. Friday Favorites (and catch up! Shame, shame, shame on me! I am going to squeeze two Friday Favorites into one post! Last Friday, my favorite was a date night with Mac! He got Grizz tickets from work, so we had some great seats to watch the Grizz play against the Kings. We had a delicious burger at Dyer's beforehand and a cookie in a skillet at Kooky Canucks afterwards. (And I just can't figure out why I have gained weight? I am so excited. I haven't seen her in a few months.

Sunday, May 20, 2012. Being a puppy parent is tough work. Mac and I never sit down! Here are some Pepper updates. At week eight she weighed 12.8 lbs and at week ten she weighs 18.6 lbs. She is getting so tall. She looks like a little deer. She is busy busy busy. Loves trash and eating rocks. She does great in the car and sleeps all night every night. We are still having an accident in the house every now and then.but she's getting better! We are on our way to Mac's dad's house to see if she will swim!

Friday, January 11, 2013. This Friday Favorite should be pretty obvious.The Blue Print Cleanse. I am so glad that I finally ordered and completed this cleanse. I feel great! I am quite proud of myself that I was able to only drink juice for three days. I have lost about 3-4 pounds, and just feel lighter. I had my first taste of "real" food this morning, a fuji apple. It was delicious. I enjoyed a salad over lunch and will just slowly start introducing things back into my system.
