This is a photo of a wonderful home/ranch site (way up there in the background, not the lava area in the foreground)! Of course it is on the side of an active volcano, but it is still very beautiful (and large). Wouldn't a home here be lovely? In Naalehu (way at the bottom of the island) this bakery is a must see. One of our favorite places to visit during our "around the island" trips is South Point. It is beautiful and stark and you always know that as you view out to sea, there is nothing between you and Antartica except water. The wind is always blowing (you can see that in the growth patterns of the few hardy trees that grow there). There are two wind farms at South Point (with all the wind, of course! One is the old unused wind farm, the windmills are valiant warriors gaurding their terrain. Click here for .
