On the 17th we were present at the first Rural Health Fair, together with 66 other organizations that in some shape or form are involved in physical and mental well-being. In our church basement we look at these three paintings that seemed to have appeared overnight, by the quite hands of Melanie, they will remind us of Lent, Good Friday and Easter. Saturday, December 25, 2010. It's Christmas Eve 7:00 pm and our little church is filled with familiar faces and some not so familiar ones. The service has a nice, meditative feeling, with appropriate scripture readings and lots of music instead of the traditional sermon. Tenor William Parker (right) and accompanist, pianist Evgueni Tchougounov (left). Outside a snow-covered world awaited us, with all of its pressures and hustle and bustle, telling us Christmas is about buying stuff and even more stuff...

The wooden cross was donated to our church by Greg and Lynn Brown who originally commissioned it.
