One cannot think well, love well or sleep well if one has not dined well." —Virginia Woolf. Tuesday, February 19, 2013. After many years of dating, all the pieces and circumstances of life finally fell into place and my good friend D married her sweetheart S this past fall. Oh was this a happy couple and a beautiful day! For the non-coconut lovers in the crowd. Here are some photos of the cake, taken by D's awesome daughter. Thanks friends for letting me be a part of your special day!

One cannot think well, love well or sleep well if one has not dined well." —Virginia Woolf. Monday, August 25, 2014. Miso Risotto. It's New! Well, hello there. Despite the late-summer heat, I really felt like a bowl-full of something warm and comforting yesterday. I had the idea of making risotto using miso broth rather than vegetable or chicken broth, to which I added some fresh veggies. Well, I was right: this dish really hit the spot! It is a free miso country, after all. :-). 2 tablespoons olive oil.
