This new tourism initiative was highly appreciated by all as it is a common belief and opinion that Kalimpong , because of its vast history and colourful lifetsyle and rich culture, is and had been in a need of such a tourism step. The guests that graced the occasion were hoteliers and restaurant owners and many others are from the tourism/service industry.

Built after the coming of Scottish missionaries in Darjeeling and Kalimpong hills, this church was completed in the year 1890-91. The sermons were in 10 different languages for the spread of Christianity , however, today it is only in Nepali.The design of this church came from Scotland though the workers were locals.
