Module #2 of a 7-part series. December 15, 2010. At the other end of the scale (of intervention) is blatant alteration of the content within an image. For this exercise I was required to remove a significant element in an image. I decided Pete required eliminating from the Corby warehouse team. (sorry Pete). Carrying on with the brick selection and blending in technique . . . . Until poor old Pete has been all-but eliminated from the group. Leaving just the blue hand rail to tidy up with some cloning.

Over-sharpening can produce some undesirable effects, like halos around edges, which may be less apparent during the process. The purpose of this exercise is to work out the ideal amount of sharpening to produce a pleasing paper print to compare the visual differences between sharpening on screen and in print.
