Camilo Ché: Music from every country
http://kamielchoi.blogspot.com/2015/04/music-from-every-country.html
Music from every country. I like to discover new music, but I don’t like the algorithmic approach that calculates suggestions and tends to make us listen to whatever most people listen to. Yes, online music listening services tell us that they let us “discover” new music, but I miss something essential. I miss the romantic idea of discovering by coincident. So I am making a playlist with music from every country. The idea is that the music:. Is composed and performed by an artist from that country. Food ...

Camilo Ché: Learning from Miru
http://kamielchoi.blogspot.com/2015/04/learning-from-miru.html
What do you do when your two year old daughter points at your plate of spaghetti and says “papa” when you come into the kitchen? I was late for dinner the other day, due to trivial computer work that ate up my hours, and I hadn’t eaten enough. Miru knows this exactly, and readily takes it upon herself to educate her daddy. The spring is young, the days are lengthening. We will take Miru to the park many more times, and learn a lot from her before summer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bob, where are...

Camilo Ché: Hide and Seek
http://kamielchoi.blogspot.com/2015/05/hide-and-seek.html
A game that Miru likes is our own version of hide-and-seek. I carry her on my back and pretend to be looking for her. Calling her softly then louder, bending over and looking around corners, in portico’s and behind trees. I continue and wonder what she would think. Does she realize it is a game? Does it appear to her, in a strange way, that we are looking for her together, as I am carrying her tightly on my back and she follows exactly my movements? Or does she find my pretended silliness entertaining?

Camilo Ché: How the brain of the one percent works
http://kamielchoi.blogspot.com/2015/06/how-brain-of-one-percent-works.html
How the brain of the one percent works. Miru is sharing only an infinitesimally small piece of her chocolate cookie. I ask her if she would share with papa and she nods. Then she touches her cookie with her little thumb and index finger, and puts the crumble that sticks on her fingers to my lips. Her dexterity is excellent and her composure completely undisturbed. Giving away only so little and keeping virtually everything for yourself is the natural state of being. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Camilo Ché: Miraculous Miru
http://kamielchoi.blogspot.com/2015/05/miraculous-miru.html
It is easy to see that there are no moral limits in this constellation. There is no moral authority that could refrain her from doing whatever it takes. To preserve the absoluteness of her relationship. Lying, framing, automutilation, murder, suicide – everything is allowed when God (the de facto authority of the collective we belong to) is dead. To turn her into a vehicle of my meaning-giving, not. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). You can support the Author with a little. Or watch this :). I leave th...

Camilo Ché: Philosophy
http://kamielchoi.blogspot.com/p/philosophy.html
As a PhD Candidate at the Humboldt University in Berlin, having finished a dissertation on "Freedom and Responsibility in the Work of Hans Jonas" I would have to have a lot to say about philosophical ethics. This is, however, not the case. I hope you are not disappointed and follow my imagination that prefers to scatter our thinking and then read to each other from the fragments. Philosophia is, to me, more to. Is he therefore less - philosophical? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Or watch this :).

Camilo Ché: Some notes on Paul Mason's Postcapitalism
http://kamielchoi.blogspot.com/2015/07/some-notes-on-paul-masons-postcapitalism.html
Some notes on Paul Mason's Postcapitalism. The “lefty activist” Paul Mason on Twitter. In reply to a noteworthy article in the Guardian. About the book “Postcapitalism” that is published on July 30. About the “community solution” which helped Cubans surviving peak oil, with peak-oil journalist Richard Heinberg). Illustrates] that allows for such ideology. The structural requirement of “we versus them” would be fulfilled by the real and continuously restated threat of our own extinction. The new connected...
