*SRD* Update: Vintage Fair Goodness | The Velvet Room
https://velvetroom.wordpress.com/2011/11/09/srd-update-vintage-fair-goodness
Silver Rose Designs and Lithium Flower. November 9, 2011. SRD* Update: Vintage Fair Goodness. I’ve recently joined the Vintage Fair. The first ever clothing fair I’ve ever joined. I’ll be honest in saying I was very nervous about the whole thing. I’m not a great designer, even if I’ve been around in SL for a pretty long time and I’ve never had the confidence to join fairs as big as this one. Yes, I’ve been told I’ve got a problem. The outfit comes with the following: blouse in both jacket and shirt versi...

Cogs and Togs: Frugality is misery in disguise.
http://cogsandtogs.blogspot.com/2009/11/frugality-is-misery-in-disguise.html
Frugality is misery in disguise. Your humble blogger, avoiding misery. Today's title brought to us by Publilius Syrus. I only occasionally agree with this thought. On a recent shopping trip, I walked into one of those occasions. In my opinion, one of the best historical designers in Second Life. When I discovered that Miss Delarosa had a new release, I considered purchasing it for all of, oh, five seconds perhaps? The flow of the dress echoes the flow of the fountain. The Black Taffeta Evening Gown is a ...

Gentle Hobbies and Grand Passions, Part Two. With Blackbird, my new horse, housed safely in her stall, I knew it was time to find riding gear. Something simple and elegantly tailored. Nothing in the way of frills or fuss. Enter the Victorian Riding Kip by Skye Qi. I was happy to discover that the pieces are modifiable, so I tinted my riding kip from the original vanilla to my favorite soft cocoa brown. Besides, one couldn't possibly wear white after Labor Day. A horse is a horse and a man is a man. Ralph...

Quantified Results: December 2008

Friday, December 5, 2008. Some New Number 2. In a weeks time I've earned my turn as Number two! There is some dissent though, amongst the Village People. One in particular, a catty one (not in a good sense) acts as if she owns the place. Her impertinence annoys me. I've settled into a cozy relationship with one of the rover devices- they're remarkably sensitive and enjoyably brutal! We go for long rolls on the beach, evenings spent not-too-close to the fire, and skulking after escapees! Red and blue soul...

Friday, June 27, 2008. Go For the Guv. The Genius Doctor has informed me that there is another application for Minion. I greet this news with some trepidation, as I fear the halving of my supply of Mouseheads. I determine to strike a blow for the Hidden Paw that will not go unnoticed. I resolve to begin my acquaintence with the leader of these free isles, too long in peaceful slumber- The Guvnah himself. Once his suspicion eased, I struck! I first asked for copy/mod rights.for all of Caledon! How often h...

Quantified Results: July 2008
http://catoquan.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2008. July- Oddkitties Local 1. July did not seem a promising month for ETK. World domination, at first. The good (evil) doctor has been absent from the labs, and the C aledon. Still refused to cede their lands and wills to her genius. My attempts to wrest Sim Management status from The Viceriene. The true power of Caledon. Were met with an invitation to "go jump in a lake." So I did, but to no avail. I wallowed late nights pondering, taking solace in the charms of New Taloo's. Hoping to...

A Stranger in this Place: NetDuino Plus–steerable webcam
http://lynnewhitehorn.blogspot.com/2012/04/netduino-plussteerable-webcam.html
A Stranger in this Place. Lynne Whitehorn's personal blog. Pictures. Random stuff. Updated on a whim. Sunday, April 22, 2012. NetDuino Plus–steerable webcam. The code's pretty simple, too. See below. Now I just integrate this as a thread/subroutine with the tiny-webserver code from last week and fabricate a mount for the webcam. I've found some interesting libraries/modules for the .NET Micro Framework at CodePlex. Check out: http:/ neonmikawebserver.codeplex.com/. Using System.Threading;. 0 (fastest/ful...
