On the ferry to Zanzibar after taking a 13 hour bus ride through the mainland that should have lasted 7 hours. The Big Tree next to the port in Stone Town, Zanzibar. We found our hotel and waiting for our rooms. The view from our room. Our beach during the high tide. Petting the teenage turtles. Still unexplained, the discovery of 400 dead dolphins on the beach. Remains of a whale. Fire on the beach. The scuba dive shop. And our dive boat. The view from the place with the best calamari I ever had.

The start to our safari ended up with a flat, twice. At the entrance to the National Park. The local watering hole. The 5 legged elephant. At the hotel after the first day of the safari. At the gate to the Serengeti. Lets wake up the lions. Lioness and her cubs. Our camp for night 2 and 3 of the safari. A leopard in the tree. Pack of lions munching on a zebra. 3 hyenas waiting for scraps. Only 5 minutes later, and now there are 30 hyenas going at it with the lions. Inside the Ngorongoro Crater.

Waiting for our connecting flight in Amsterdam. We reached Moshi and the Springlands Hotel around 11PM. First thing we did was order a round of the local beer. Kilimanharo beer FTW! We had the entire day to settle in so we went exploring the town. Interacting with the locals over a bottle of Coca Cola. Washing our hands before launch. Chicken with rice and a Fanta, $3. Our ride to Kili has arrived the next morning. The box lunch, which we've learned to hate over time. At the entrance gate to the park.
