Work in Progress: Um. Yeah.....
http://amanda-tf.blogspot.com/2011/03/um-yeah.html
Monday, March 28, 2011. So I haven't blogged since November. The really exciting stuff is coming up over the next few months. Our wee house is getting an addition! Basically, we are adding a whole big room on to the back of the second floor which will be our master bedroom complete with big windows, a big closet and an en suite bathroom. WAHOO! The addition will also affect the kitchen since we'll be able to open it up to the mudroom which will then become a little sitting area with more windows!

Work in Progress: Back in Business!
http://amanda-tf.blogspot.com/2011/08/back-in-business.html
Monday, August 29, 2011. So the glorious addition that I've been waiting for is finally in progress! A week ago my fella told me that I could expect a surprise when I came home and here's what I came home to find:. The whole back section of the house on the ground! After that, there was a lot of clean up and then the digging of a big hole for the foundation - I can't seem to get the hole pics off the camera so lets skip ahead a bit to the building of the actual foundation:. Farewell to Lou Reed.

Now we just have to get someone to come in and hook it up inside.we also need a new furnace. Speaking of furnaces, the fellas came by to lug the HEAVY old one out to the backyard today. They also took the big old oil tank out. I'm off to paint. Links to this post. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Links to this post.

Work in Progress: "Look honey, our woodpecker is back!"
http://amanda-tf.blogspot.com/2011/05/look-honey-our-woodpecker-is-back.html
Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Look honey, our woodpecker is back! When we lived on Roncesvalles, our wildlife experience was limited to pigeons, cockroaches, mice and the odd possum or raccoon. Now that we're up by Cedarvale Ravine, we've been host to a whole new set of critters! If like me, you are have never had a woodpecker before, you probably thought they looked like this:. My Google searching has turned up the following information about our new friend:. Pretty cool, huh? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thursday, November 11, 2010. Sunny days spent underground. My office was closed today to observe Remembrance Day and after some remembering, Ian and I got down to business and tackled the mess in the basement. We inhaled a crazy amount of dust but we managed to organize, move and purge a lot of stuff. Once the basement reno is done we will have some proper storage and the remaining boxes can be unpacked once and for all. I can't wait! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Farewell to Lou Reed.

Sunday, January 24, 2010. Now that the house is pretty much done. I've been spending my free time at the craft table again. My mom asked me to make a book full of cards for her good friend as a birthday present and I had a blast putting it all together. I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of the actual book but I did photograph the cards. I made 20 cards total and here are my favourites:. Links to this post. Sunday, January 10, 2010.
