Pete Rides: The DMR thats not
http://peterides.blogspot.com/2010/08/dmr-thats-not.html
And runs and does other stuff sometimes). Sunday, August 22, 2010. The DMR thats not. It was my birthday recently so I thought I would treat myself to a new bike. I had been on the lookout for a replacement for my DMR Singlespeed, I was looking for something lighter in weight and with XC geometry, it also had to made from steel. I built the bike up with a combination of new and old parts - Reba 100mm forks, Stylo 700mm flat bars, Juicy 7 brakes, Stylo Cranks, Mavic/DMR/Hope SS specific wheelset. Runn...

And runs and does other stuff sometimes). Friday, May 28, 2010. Thankfully most mornings aren't this cold over winter (or summer). Pete Rides: A proper ride for the Nomad
http://peterides.blogspot.com/2010/06/proper-ride-for-nomad.html
And runs and does other stuff sometimes). Sunday, May 30, 2010. A proper ride for the Nomad. Today was my 1st proper ride on my new Nomad bike, though technically it was the 3rd time I had ridden it. From the continuously non stop bad weather we have been having lately the rain had finally stopped for the morning. Riding in the rain I can do, riding in the cold I can do but both together I don't really enjoy. So fortunately it was just cold. I continued on, next I thought I would ride up Salvation and th...

Pete Rides: Back into it
http://peterides.blogspot.com/2010/08/back-into-it.html
And runs and does other stuff sometimes). Sunday, August 15, 2010. I recently got back from a work trip to Seoul, this meant I had been off my bike for over 2 weeks. I had visions of hitting the gym while I was away but this never happened. I was working long hours and coupled with the 30 something temperatures and high humidity at the end of my work day, exercise was the last thing on my mind. Hopefully with this weeks effort I should be back into it. My Races for 2010. 7-8th May Moonride 24 Hour Solo.

Jordan Blake: March 2008
http://jordiniblake.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Go hard or go home! Sunday, 16 March 2008. Oceania Mountainbike Champs: Nelson New Zealand 2008. 4 laps, 1hr 26min 1st Place, (22seconds ahead of 2nd place Alex Mcgregor) . One of the best days in my racing career. Its just awesome to think I'm now U19 Oceania XC Mens Champion! I had to fight bloody hard to win this one. For the first three laps I felt sluggish. My legs were spinning fine but I didn't have any power. My mind was telling me don't panic you can still win this race. In no particular order.

Jordan Blake: Karapoti 08
http://jordiniblake.blogspot.com/2008/03/karapoti-08.html
Go hard or go home! Tuesday, 4 March 2008. A super fast dry course. First time on fully. I just accomplished something pretty good. Last weekend I did the Karapoti Classic. 50km mtb race through Upper Hutt's rugged forest. Most people are fully aware that this race is a pretty popular one. Almost every hardcore MTBer in the NZ cycling community has done it and you won't find many who haven't. Anyway I set a new jr record of 2.26 slicing 8 mins off Carl Jone's record. I rode a Santacruz Blur. Anyway I'm r...
