Surviving is important, thriving is elegant. October 16, 2011. I think I’ll always consider Tulsa home. And I’m okay with that. I love that city. I can’t really explain it’s greatness, but it is. I always find it difficult to leave home. To go back into the world on my own, away from the comforts that home offers. But I know before too long, I will be making another treck down the turnpike to sweet t-town. Mom, dad and Tulsa, thanks for another great weekend. Posted by Kara Willis. October 15, 2011.

Do small things with great love. Steve and I love Allen. We will always have the best stories because we lived in this unique small town. There are so many hilarious {and mildly inappropriate} stories that’d we love to share with you. Since we don’t have time for that here is our Allen top ten list. NINE: The covered stadium at the football field. Used during WWII. Interesting, huh? FIVE: Walking to church. Or to the school. Or to the football game. Or to the grocery store. Or to the libr...FOUR: Golf Ca...

Do small things with great love. Posted in {Our Life}. I had no intention to start blogging again. It wasn’t a new year resolution or goal of mine. I haven’t touched this thing since summer of 2011. ouch. So much has happened since then that the thought of returning seemed daunting. How would I fill in the gaps of all that I’ve missed? Should I just delete this blog and start fresh? You know, I did see some cute blogs over at blogspot and maybe that’d be easier to navigate…. So, let’s make it happen.

Do small things with great love. Steve announced to our families and students Wednesday night that we are leaving FBC Allen. This morning he announced it to our church family after worship. Even though I knew what he was announcing, both times, it wasn’t easy to hear. My eyes swelled up with tears before he even spoke a word. Leaving this community won’t be easy. I’m sad to leave these wonderful people, but I am incredibly excited for what is ahead. And we are so stinking excited. Thank you, Lord. You ar...

https://kristinhall.wordpress.com/2014/02/09/relationships-matter
Do small things with great love. But, relationships matter. friendships matter. It’s no secret research supports this. Especially when it comes to having friends in the workplace. But that’s not the point of this post. My relationship with Steve–my marriage is the most important. He is my best friend. But there are days when I just need my girlfriends. I think it would be unhealthy for my marriage– for Steve– to have to provide all my needs for friendship. Why do these relationships matter so much to me?

Do small things with great love. Life since summer ’11 {part two}. Ended with the start of summer 2012. Never in my life had I been so excited to see summer vacation. Summer ’12 highlights. My husband is a youth pastor. My summers are consumed with camps and teenagers. When Steve and I first moved to Allen our prayer was that I would be able to teach in the community where we live. That didn’t happen my first year so I thought surely it would for my second. By this time my husband and our students had al...
