Rachel Searles: December 2014
http://rachelsearles.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. I can't believe it's already the last day of 2014. This has been a long, weird, happy year for me, marked by some major life moments and a lot of change. It was my debut year! Seeing THE LOST PLANET hit bookshelves- that little book I plugged away at in 2010, determined to finally finish something- has been surreal and exciting. I'm so grateful to everyone who worked with me, helped me out, and cheered me on during that time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Rachel's books ».

Life needs mystery or else everything else flattens into a routine. David Kindred. Jun 19, 2013. A Cheer, A Toast to Libba Bray - pajamas and all. Yes - it's the summer of 2013 and a year has passed since the 4 day, 38 person wedding celebration complete with midnight dancing, hot air balloon wishes floating into the night sky, a second line through the house just before dawn, and more crayfish and hot peppers than we could eat. My comment to a reader on Libba Bray's blog sums up my confidence that one d...

Of The Blogger Girlz. So the rules are:. Answer the following questions about your WIP and then tag five people who will talk about.

Rachel Searles: August 2013
http://rachelsearles.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 8, 2013. I haven't been blogging much as there's a deadline looming in my near future, but this week I'm up in the Bay Area on a work trip for my day job. Sitting alone in my hotel room at night is making me stir crazy, so I thought I'd hop online for some quick updates. First and most exciting- we've sold translation rights for THE LOST PLANET in Spain! Year 1: clueless writer with a completed mess of a manuscript and no friends. Year 4: soon-to-be-published author with a two-book deal!

Life needs mystery or else everything else flattens into a routine. David Kindred. Oct 10, 2010. The Best Engineers Play with Toys. Electric hugs to Patricia Wiles and the participants at the MidSouth SCBWI conference who contributed hundreds of books for schools in need. The responses were celebrations of reading. One wrote this to me in an e-mail: It's Christmas on Broadway! The kids SWARMED the boxes! This was all so sweet . especially as I thought of the people (none of you, of course) who had sa...

Life needs mystery or else everything else flattens into a routine. David Kindred. Dec 1, 2013. As a nation of all the religions in the world, worshipping in general the same Lord in so many creative ways, with or without Jesus Christ in our beliefs, December is filled with celebration:. And if we consider the rotten state of affairs in some countries, our own included, it's nice to know we'll be receiving thanks and praises along the way- - all in proportion to those we give. And so I do, and so I will&...

Life needs mystery or else everything else flattens into a routine. David Kindred. Sep 18, 2010. You've got blood on your hands once you kill somebody! I stand by my decision.with luck the mystery will be stronger and the plot tighter, but the character was driving the story. My MC was struggling to keep up; his sweet nature, his old-fashioned manners falling to the side of the road whenever. So I done it. He's gone. Now comes the weird part. . . And Lordy, Lordy! There's a dozen re-tellings of the Blood...

The Writer's Hollow: December 2011
http://hayleylovell.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Where plagues, romance, and alternate forms of life come together, converging upon one mind. Saturday, December 31, 2011. A lot has changed this past year. I’ve changed, where I am has changed (if that makes any sense). I’ve decided to do a post on reflections about the year, and what I’ve gone though. So here we go, this was my goals for 2011, all the ones that were accomplished were italicized and bolded:. Do MORE research for Glass Heart. Read, over 100 books. Pass AP exams (with flying colors). So...
