Powered by LiveJournal.com. April 5th, 2014. Fast Ride. No Scenery. We finally watched the Academy Award winning (SEVEN awards, btw). It's a tension-packed, fast-paced one trick pony. As far as I'm concerned. (My husband disagrees. He loved it.). This film is like a funhouse ride -or perhaps an action-based video game. It's harrowing to be sure but let's face it, there is no story here. This is a one-dimensional thrill-fest with no background narrative and very little we know about the two characters.
