Since winter is quickly approaching and with it many of the things I hate (ie- cold weather, walking through snow, etc) I figured I should focus on the things I love. Warm springtime breezes and beaches in Cali. Steaming earl grey tea and a Penn State pep rally. Manicured nails and silver rings. These are a few of my favorite things. Let me tell you, Minnesota is poppin. This time of year! Not really but it was nice to be around my family for the first time since Christmas. That was the wise advice a grad student gave me and my fellow McNair students about handling your finances in grad school. She said, "live like a student now, so that you can live like you want later." Simple right? A few shopping sprees, manis, pedis, flights later.i am now thinkin, "october for sure!
