Contact and other media. Karen Reitzel is a painter/mixed media artist who lives in Los Angeles. As a hiker, cyclist and equestrian, she spends much of her free time in the local mountains and canyons. Her work is an investigation of her movements through the Southern California spaces where the urban and natural environments mingle and influence one another. She is especially interested in point-of-view, passage of time, and transformed function.
