Thursday, January 27, 2011. Thurs Jan. 27. Hello Well we're down to 8 days left. I was a little discouraged Monday when the doctor told me that the burning will continue up to 14 days after the last treatment and so right now I am feeling the effects from the first 5 or so treatments. Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Well, we got a surprise yesterday at the cancer center. Had my radiation treatment and saw Dr. Grass. Everything is going about as expected. My "sunburn" will continue to get worse for awhile but 4 weeks after last treatment should be back to normal. Got RX for new cream that is expensive but helps - however pharmacy had to order and it is supposed to be in today. I am glad they are on top of things. Anyway - only 6 left! 1 new living place. 2 new person she is living with.

Saturday, June 11, 2011. Hard to believe that one year ago yesterday was my first chemo treatment. What a difference a year makes. Here's an update. Dr. S removed my port Thursday. Everything went well. I didn't even get sick from anesthesia and he put glue on the wound so I can go swimming Monday. I am so thankful. Looking forward to teaching at the school with Al and Ange. Monday, October 31, 2011. Counting Our Blessings"-Your Love and Prayers! Karen enjoyed our trip to Beavercreek on Saturday stopping at several stores and eating out, of course. She attended church yesterday morning as is our custom. Today she was able to shop on her own at the local Walmart while I was getting my eye exam there. Friday, November 19, 2010. Karen had chemo on Wednesday. She did not get the shot on Thursday to boost her white blood cells. Therefore the pain that she experienced after the last chemo probably won't be a problem this time. The final wound appears to be getting smaller each day. Dinsdag 15 mei 2007. Er overnachte een medepelgrim in de B&B. Ik zat dus 's ochtend met Gert-Jan en zijn ouders aan het ontbijt. Gert-Jan was net afgestudeerd en besloot er een half jaar tussenuit te gaan. Hij nam de route via de GR5 en de Weg van Arles. Dit betekend dus eerst helemaal naar de Middelandse zee en dan naar Spanje. Bravo! Hij was net als ik pas vertrokken en zijn ouders liepen een paar dagen met hem mee. Zelf vervent wandelaars was dit voor hen een mooie manier om hun zoon uit te zwaaien.
