Birding,Beer and Skittles. Tuesday, 14 October 2014. Memories of Cape May, New Jersey Day 8. Our last early start of the trip, up at 5:45 am and out to Higbee for one final time. There was nothing in the way of migration but we did see a flock of scoters which flew behind the tree line in front of us and then didn't re-appear. Thursday, 13 August 2015. Black Hole Marsh gets exciting! Wednesday saw a great increase in numbers of waders on the reserve. Afternoon Ringed Plover number was 4, but there were at least 21 there by Sunset. Lots of pics to come (and I'll soon have time to do it due to redundancy). The Unthanks are (Currently) a ten piece folk group who fuse traditional Northumbrian folk with other genres to make haunting and melancholic tunes and who are fronted by the clog dancing sisters Becky and Rachel Unthank.
